Born and raised in British Columbia, Canada I began drawing and painting at an early age. I began my creative career as a Graphic Designer and eventually went on to study Classical Animation at the Vancouver Film School. Upon graduation I started work at Mercury Filmworks as a Compositing and FX artist working on various animated television series and the Power Puff Girls feature film.
During my time at Mercury Filmworks I discovered a website called conceptart.org. It was there that I found artists sharing and critiquing each others artwork and was introduced to the field of Concept Art. I was hooked. I began participating in the Character of the Week challenge on conceptart.org, honing my skills as digital artist.
In 2008 I landed a job at Ironclad Games as a Concept Artist. There I spent the next six and half years designing characters, creatures, weapons, buildings and environments for their MOBA Sins of a Dark Age. Other tasks at Ironclad included texturing final character and creature models as well as designing icons and other art assets for the UI.
I am currently working a full-time contract at DHX Media, in Vancouver, British Columbia, as a Lead Compositor.
